Emily Steen is an AI Solutions Developer at Thrive, specializing in data engineering, machine learning, and applied AI. At Thrive, she leads the development of custom AI products, delivering end-to-end pipelines that streamline operations, reduce costs, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Prior to Thrive, Emily served as a Data Scientist at NCBU, where she spearheaded machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives focused on data quality. She began her career building foundational data infrastructure as a Data Engineer at Flosonics Medical, a Toronto-based medtech startup.
Emily holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Queen’s University, alongside a Certificate from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s. She is also a Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer.
